Sarah Wong Media is a social media agency that helps vibrant lifestyle brands create more time to do what they love. We are a small, growing team based in Austin, and we are looking for fun, hard-working individuals who want to sharpen their social media skills and grow with us.

Role: Community Engagement Intern

Sarah Wong Media is looking for a community-oriented individual who is excited to support the growth and development of Sarah Wong Media’s clients. The ideal candidate is organized, outgoing, and understands the importance of prompt customer service and relationship-building. Time Commitment & Compensation

$15/hour for 10-12 hours per week with room to grow

Responsibilities

• Enthusiastically engage with customers with timely responses and comments in brand voice on Facebook, Instagram, and DMs

• Respond weekly to customers on Google Reviews and Yelp

• Support brand initiatives through outreach and follow-ups with influencers and ambassadors

• Maintain a steady pulse on existing communities 

• Proactively engage with outside brands and friends of the brand to build authentic community

• Personify a brand’s unique tone while maintaining productivity and efficiency

• Support in-person photoshoots as needed

Requirements

• Student currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations, Graphic Design, or other relevant major

• Strong familiarity with social media platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Google Reviews, and Yelp

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment

• Passion for social media and staying on top of current social media trends and best practices

• Detail-oriented and very organized

• Preferably based in Austin, but open to remote anywhere in the U.S.
